Hi,

As you have probably seen, we have 29 accepted papers for WSSSPE2 (https://wssspe.researchcomputing.org.uk/wssspe2/), coming up in about a month at SC14 in New Orleans.

We are planning a fairly interactive program, with lots of breakouts and discussions. For two of the sessions, we are trying to use the community of authors, PC members, and attendees to help us organize the breakouts.

To do this, we request that you go to http://www.well-sorted.org/study/sorting.php?id=WSSSPE2 and sign in with your email address (used only to email your results back to you; feel free to put in a fake address if you have any concerns), then drag cards from the left (each card was created by one accepted paper author to represent their paper) to piles/groups on the right.

The website will take all of our inputs, and come up with some suggestions of how the papers map to topics that we create, and the organizers will then use these groupings to determine the breakout sessions. I just went through the process, and it took about 10 minutes.

Please note that:

* All responses to the grouping exercise will be treated anonymously.
* There are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ ‘groupings’.
* Everyone’s input will be unchanged and treated equally.

Your participation will help us make this work!

Please go to the well-sorted web site using the link above and do this by October 24th.

We look forward to seeing you at WSSSPE.

Thanks,
Dan
